Abstract :
Copper indium gallium selenium (CIGS) nanoparticles were synthesized by heating copper chloride, indium chloride, gallium chloride, and selenium in oleylamine, and purified through centrifugation and precipitation process. A stable dispersion of the CIGS nanoparticles (70 nm) in chloroform and toluene were obtained. The UV-Vis-NIR absorption result shows a good absorption in the solar spectrum range with band edge near 1100 nm wavelength (1.13 eV).
