Abstract :
Following the improvements in the field of functional electrical stimulation (FES) and in agreement with the design criteria from other research groups, a programmable eight channel surface stimulator has been developed in Mexico. The design is based on a Motorola 68HC11 microcontroller and on the implementation of a switch-mode power supply. The stimulator has eight programmable stimulation channels and it is fully portable
