  • Abstract
    Data mining is a new inter disciplinary area which has caught the interest of researchers in the field of machine learning, machine discovery, statistics, intelligent databases, engineering, knowledge acquisition, data visualization, and expert systems. Data mining focuses on the classification of new, useful and interesting relationships that may exist within the large archives of information. The discovery of relations from archived data is a potentially powerful application of machine learning algorithms. The paper describes data mining and brainstorms on its application to power systems
