Abstract
This article deals with the application of acoustic intensity measurement technique for the analysis of the sound field emitted by the doubly salient switched reluctance motor (DSSRM). This technique based on discrete point method is profitable in order to obtain a representation of the sound images for given frequencies of the principal sources of vibrations present in this motor. The acoustic power radiated by each face of the motor will be exterminated from the data intensity measurement. This technique can be an original and a complementary experimental method to traditional ones applied up to now for this kind of motor
