Abstract
A unified power quality conditioner (UPQC) consisting of a series and parallel active power filtering that uses simple analogical identification methods and control strategies are discussed in this paper. The current and voltage regulators are based on PID controllers. Different parts of the system are discussed in detail and simulation results are shown in transient and steady-state conditions to verify the good responses and viability of the proposed UPQC
