Abstract
This paper presents a simulation application, which is based on an enhanced Stationary Phase Method asymptotic approximation for the calculation of the scattered electric field from a finite rectangular plate. Initially, a 3-dimensional wave scattering layout is depicted and typical calculations carried out for the vector potential ¿ follow. Using vector potential results we apply a modified version of Stationary Phase Method approximation for the calculation of the scattered electric field. Simulation results are compared to results obtained with standard numerical integration, though SPM divulged here is incomparably faster.
