Abstract :
As new electricity meters perform new tasks that become them in smart metering devices, the timekeeping capability need to be tested. This paper presents a complete assessment of timekeeping performance during EMC immunity tests that were conducted in several electricity meters at the Inmetro´s EMC laboratory. The results allow us the development of testing methodologies that could be used by external test labs and requirements that could be included as suggestions in future standard revisions, as well as new regulation requirements. The performance comparison between the samples, contributes to improve the timekeeping capability of Brazilian smart meters.
