Abstract :
The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is in the process of developing standards for the third generation (3G) mobile cellular system, also known as IMT2000. IMT-2000, was also known as Future Public Land Mobile Telecommunications System (FPLMTS). The European Telecommunications Standard Institute (ETSI) has adopted and recommended W-CDMA for voice and data, and TD-CDMA (DS) for other terrestrial services. The mobile will support up to 384 kb/s and in a non-mobile environment up to 2 Mbps
