Abstract :
The goal of this research is to realize a complete position and speed sensorless system using a "half-wave rectified brushless synchronous motor" we proposed as a novel AC servo motor. This paper proposes an initial rotor position estimation method using the bias frequency component of a half-wave rectified brushless excitation. This technique is verified by simulations and experiments
