Abstract
The orientation of dipolar groups in thin polymer films induced by different poling methods can be observed by linear and nonlinear optical characterization. This concept includes the in-situ absorption studies of nonlinear optical polymers oriented by corona poling and the second harmonic generation (SHG)-measurement of thin fluoropolymer layers poled with the electron-beam technique
