Abstract
An approximate calculation based on the Green´s function method applied to the Laplace region bounded by the electrodes and a straight wall at a potential equal to the unperturbed space charge is performed in order to find the limiting flow line issuing from a half emitting electrode inside an infinite plane condenser. The results are compared with those provided by the enlarged Budd-Wheeler hodographic method previously obtained. An interesting and unexpected self-field effect was detected
