  • Abstract
Blends of polyurethanes based on branched polymer polyol (PUR) and styrene-acrylonitrile copolymers (SAN), with different SAN content and different SAN compositions in acrylonitrile (AN)/styrene (St), were studied, by using different dielectric relaxation spectroscopy techniques, in order to investigate interactions between the components of the blends. The dielectric behaviour of the blends showed that the two components of the blends are incompatible. No significant interactions between SAN and soft polyol segments of the PUR have been observed, while there was evidence that SAN interacts with hard segments affecting the segmentation of soft and hard domains of the PUR. These interactions seem to be dependent on the composition of SAN in AN/St
