Abstract :
We introduce in this paper a novel three-phase AC-DC power factor preregulator. The proposed converter operates in discontinuous conduction mode, and requires only a single-control loop. The number of switches (one or two) is a function of the gain of the converter. The input currents of the converter have a little ripple, and the output voltage is free of low-order harmonic content. The output stage can be, or not, isolated. We present design equations and a small-signal model. The results presented show some of the commented features
