Abstract :
iWAT 2010 awards the following prizes to the authors of best poster papers written solely or primarily by a student: Best student poster paper award, 500 Euro, sponsored by Instituto de Telecomunicacoes; Honorable mention student poster paper award, 150 UK pounds book voucher, sponsored by John Wiley & Sons Limited; Honorable mention student poster paper award, book from IET Editor, sponsored by the IET. All student papers are automatically eligible for the prizes, and have been appreciated by the TPC and review board. A short list has been defined and the nominated student authors will be contacted to confirm their acceptance to participate in the contest. The student must submit a letter from his supervisor, on University letterhead, certifying that primary contributor to the paper is (was) a full-time student at the time of the paper´s original submission, along with the professor´s telephone, FAX and e-mail information. The finalists will present their posters at a session running in parallel with Session PS1 for evaluation by a Jury. Papers will be judged on originality, clarity, potential impact on practical applications or theoretical foundations and quality of presentation. The awards will be presented at the dinner banquet 2 March.
