Abstract :
The Thermally Stimulated Current (TSC) spectroscopy has been applied to the characterization of the influence of processing conditions on polarization phenomena of PVC. Two relaxation modes are observed, independently from the thermomechanical history of the polymer. Both modes can be described by continuous distribution of relaxation times following a compensation law. So, each mode has been characterized by a compensation time and the range of the activation enthalpies. The compensation temperature is particularly sensitive to the thermomechanical history of the polymer and to the presence of lubricants and plasticizers
