Abstract :
This paper focus on the research of a parallel-plate air capacitor, which used as the low voltage arms in capacitive voltage ratio standards for power frequency. The electrodes of this newly-developed capacitor are made of Invar Alloy and placed in parallel. It can achieve large capacitance, low voltage dependence (VC) and low dissipation. These 5 nF standard capacitors were calibrated by using the 2:1 doubling voltage method with a current-comparator-based bridge, and the VC of which is 1.74×10-5/kV.
