Abstract :
To support multimedia broadcast service over a WiMAX network, MCBCS(Multicast Broadcast Service) is specified in WiMAX Rel-1.5. In phase-1 of WiMAX Rel-1.5, only multicast transport for MCBCS between BS and MS was specified but dynamic switching support between unicast and multicast transport for MCBCS is not specified. Therefore, we propose an efficient scheme to support dynamic switching according to the MS count.
