  • Abstract
An investigation of the radiation-induced conductivity (RIC) in P(VDF/TrFE) copolymer of 70:30 molar ratio, due to X-ray irradiation, was performed at different temperatures. At room temperature (ferroelectric phase) the RIC presented a quasi-linear dependence on time even after three hours of continuous irradiation, for dose rates of approximately 10 Gy/s. At 120°C, in the paraelectric phase, the RIC was linear in the first minutes of irradiation, leached a maximum at about 10 minutes and then decreased slowly. The results were explained in terms of a dispersive transport mechanism, and the Arkhipov model was used to fit the experimental data
