Abstract :
Chaos concepts formulated in a discrete form were applied to examine instability conditions in a current mode PWM boost power converter under open and closed outer-loop conditions. A simple expression for the maximum duty cycle for subharmonic-free operation was developed and applied to assess the effects of the outer loop on subharmonic oscillations in the DC/DC power converter under study
