Abstract :
The development of an experimental prototype of the single-mode waveguide CO2 laser with a uniform output beam and estimation of the influence of active medium on the beam profile are described. By a choice of the optimum sizes of mirrors of the resonator and multimode waveguide, variation of number of both sizes of absorbing grooves and reflecting rings on the aperture of the amplitude-stepped mirror (ASM), it is possible to achieve essential diminution of diffraction losses of the fundamental mode and to increase uniform of an output radiation beam profile.
