  • Abstract
    The design of a backup wireless network for the Department of Electrical Engineering of CINVESTAV-IPN is presented in this paper. Different solutions are considered including topologies, antennae, access point distributions, etc. All of them are based on the IEEE 802.11 standard specified for wireless local area networks. Interference and desired signal levels are computed for the real buildings distribution. An optimal solution is obtained using commercial equipment.
