  • Abstract
    This paper proposed an inverted T-shaped slot antenna for 2.4/5-GHz dual-band WLAN applications. The size of the proposed antenna is only 30mm × 15mm. It is very compact and can be easily integrated with a wireless USB network adapter (80mm × 25mm typically). The radiating element of the proposed antenna is composed of two orthogonal rectangle slots, operating at 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands respectively. Studies on the impedance and radiation pattern of the proposed antenna demonstrated that the proposed antenna can completely cover the required bandwidths of IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n standards with satisfactory radiation characteristics.
