Abstract
In partially controllable multi-level converters the displacement power factor range and the voltage transfer ratio boundaries depend on the number of converter levels. Partially controllable multi-level converters are characterized by asymmetric power flow capabilities. Part count, blocking voltage requirements, and the boundaries and stability of circuit operation are evaluated for various circuit configurations
