Abstract
This paper proposes the design to reduce the number of fed elements by replacing with parasitic elements in an array antenna. The study depends on the analysis of electromagnetic wave fields in consideration of the coupling between the half-wavelength dipoles. 10 elements array antennas with 6 parasitic elements is investigated theoretically and experimentally. It has been shown that the possibility of the 60% reduction of fed elements can be achieved.
