Abstract :
We have developed a theoretical model to study the highly nondegenerate four wave mixing (HNDFWM) in λ/4-shifted DFB laser diodes. Frequency detuning up to 4 THz between the self-generated pump wave and the injected probe wave is envisaged. Wavelength-converted signal can be generated in a comparable bandwidth. Our results are in very good agreement with recent experiment
