Abstract
The results of a multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) measurement campaign, using an 8x8 dual-polarized system, conducted in a semi-industrial environment at 2.4 GHz and 5.2 GHz are presented. Capacities in this environment are compared with respect to: array orientation, antenna polarization and center frequency. It was found that array orientation and antenna polarization did not have a significant influence on the channel capacity attained. When the effect of center frequency was analyzed, based on the eigenvalues, it was found that slightly higher capacities were obtained at 5.2 GHz than at 2.4 GHz. The capacities achieved in this environment were found to be between 40% and 85% of the maximum capacity that can be attained ideally.
