Abstract :
Nowadays the various understanding of the concept of multimedia has a great influence on the study and application of multimedia. In order to improve the understanding of the concept of multimedia, this paper probes into the essential meaning of multimedia through the analysis of its word structure, the internal properties of its concept, historical background of its origin and its essential properties.
