  • Abstract
There is an increasing demand to control electrical drives- with revolving or linear motors as well- with minimized jerk during dynamic operation modes. Jerk is defined by the third deviation of way above time. To avoid- or better to decrease - jerk during acceleration and deceleration periods means a loss of acceleration which must be compensated in that periods of the time-way diagram in which the acceleration is constant. That means in that timeelement the acceleration must be increased to be able to realize the time- way diagram within a given time- window. For the design of the electrical machine now there is besides the well known features like temperature rise, insulation class and rated torque a new quantity. The increase of the maximum torque to ensure that the time for a cycle of motion does not exceed a given frame
