  • Abstract
    Phasor measurement units (PMU) need to satisfy dynamic performance requirements. One of such requirements is phasor, frequency and rate of change of frequency measurements with a specified level of combined amplitude and phase modulation of the power signals. A simple method for estimating parameters of such modulated signals from digital sampling data is presented. Prior information available to metrologists about the signal components allows the reduction of the dimensionality of the search algorithm with consequent time savings.
