Abstract
In handling magnetoresistive (MR) recording heads, the first defence in the manufacturing line is the pair of tweezers. Many ESD type of tweezers have appeared in the market place. Each may produce different ESD currents when it is charged up and is in contact with the MR head. This paper describes a practical method to compare and qualify ESD type of tweezers for use with MR recording heads.
