Abstract :
Generic EMC standards have been the primary reference for compliance to the European Union EMC Directive. Product family standards are now being introduced that will replace the generic standards for many types of products. This paper describes how it is important to understand when compliance to these new standards apply to new products as well as to previously introduced products
