Abstract
The design of a high frequency annular array is described. The array elements are defined using an electrode pattern on the surface of a PZT substrate. Finite element modelling shows that despite large electrical and mechanical coupling between the array elements, a satisfactory pulse shape and radiation pattern can be achieved
