Abstract :
Increasing competitive intensity and higher market complexity force enterprises to innovate their manufacturing and business strategies in order to remaining competitive in the international market. This paper set out to test the effect on whether companies shifting manufacturing to service has a direct influence on business performance. This study is based on the data from the fifth International Manufacturing Strategy Survey that was conducted in 19 countries worldwide. The finding can provide guideline for manufacturers to select their future service strategies.
