Abstract :
This paper investigates some possibilities of ionized air´s quench (suppression) effects on the transient electromagnetic field which emanates from a metal-metal electrostatic discharge (ESD) event. In the specific ionized air environment, significant suppression of both transient field strength and its spectrum distributions are confirmed.
