  • Abstract
    The fierce competition environment created by the age of globalization brings both opportunities and challenges to urban development in China and more and more local governments consider urban marketing an important means of urban competition strategy. Yet during the process of urban development, the core ldquohuman-centeredrdquo conception is abandoned, which stirs up fierce social conflicts. This paper analyzes the public policies property of city marketing from a philosophical point of view and makes systematic summary and conclusion of behaviors and characteristics of city marketing with Chinese features. And with a contact point of mechanisms innovation in urban governance, the paper also summarizes the main characteristics of Chinese urban growth path based on the conception of sustainable development.
