Abstract :
Order Promising (OP) based on allocated Available to Promise (ATP) is proved to increase revenues in the customer hierarchy. However, whatever allocation rules, profits are improved only if reliable information about ATP supply and customer demand is available. This paper analyses the performance of real time order promising based on ATP allocation and not in the situation of demand uncertainty. The results are compared, such as profitability and customer services level, and then two parameters, unallocated ATP quantities and run-time of order promising based on allocated ATP are tested to improve the performance. Further research will focus on the performance of the order promising model with these two parameters in varying demand distribution curves.
