Abstract :
In this paper, blue-emitting Sr2CeO4 powders were synthesized by modified citrate-gel process using corresponding metal carbonates, citrate acid and ammonium nitrate as raw materials. The luminescent properties of the samples were investigated by fluorescence spectrophotometer. The results show that the excitation and emission spectra of the. as-prepared Sr2CeO4 phosphors show broad bands, and that a small amount of NH4NO3 and appropriate sintering temperature are benefit to the gain of the Sr2CeO4 phosphor with high luminescent intensity.
