Abstract
A drive train control procedure for variable speed wind power converters, which minimises electric power fluctuations and mechanical peak loads in the drive train at maximum energy yield was developed. These aims are achieved by iterative adapting control based on stochastic dynamic optimisation. The results of the new control methods are compared to conventional control methods
