Abstract :
Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), a kind of automatic identification technology, has already been extensively applied to fields, such as supply chain management, industry applications, healthcare, etc. Owing to the advantage of contactless reading, in this research, it was used as a bridge to link the computer-illiterate elderly with computers and the Internet. This article introduces a RFID-enabled leisure system (RLS) that supports the elderly with Blog, video, and chat Web applications, particularly the case when an elderly is an illiteracy of computers and the Internet. It will help the computer-illiterate elderly enrich the life and improve the life satisfaction.
