Abstract
In this paper, novel control architecture with variable switching frequency is introduced. The symmetric architecture provides advantages in practical design, especially for the integrated circuits. The methodology of controller circuit implementation is discussed with comparison of voltage-mode and current-mode analog design approaches. The designed controller takes advantages of both design approaches to achieve optimal performance. Some key circuits in the controller are presented. Fully differential circuits are utilized to effectively improve system performance. The control and circuits were verified by designing a two-channel interleaved controller with CMOS technology
