  • Abstract
Data transmission is the most important issue in wireless sensor network (WSN). The energy consumption and latency are the key factors of data transmission. To optimize these factors, a noble data aggregation algorithm is proposed in this paper. The proposed algorithm is originated from LEACH, and energy efficiency and latency is considered as the researching parameters. The overlap of detect regions is discussed and a nodes-adaptive schedule is designed to reduce the amount of data with LEACH protocol. Moreover, a bilayer-based data aggregation is also studied, which can divide the wireless network to two layers and each layer has different number of cluster heads optimized. The members (nodes or cluster heads) in the detection region of each layer send data to the related head it belonged to and the head responses for aggregation. The experimental results show that the algorithm can improves the network lifetime and reduces latency well.
