Abstract :
A new autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) launch and recovery system has been built that is adaptable enough to allow integration to most vessels equipped with an A-frame or deck crane. The system was developed to allow an AUV to be lifted either horizontally or vertically depending on vehicle configuration or vessel geometry.
