Abstract
The proliferation of digitized media has created a pressing need for robust watermarking schemes for protection of copyright ownership. The desired watermark characteristics include fidelity preservation, robustness to common signal and geometric processing operations, robustness to attack and applicability to audio, image and video data. This paper presents a framework for analyzing and evaluating the strengths of various watermarking algorithms. The focus is exclusively on the analysis of watermarking of digital images. The framework presented herein can however be extended to digital video and audio watermarking applications
