This paper presents the results of sensitivity analyses of the impact of the active power filter (AF) impedance and DC bus capacitor magnitude on power distribution systems. The dynamic response of the AF is demonstrated in transient simulation system studies. The impact of the AC source impedance on the filtering capacity of the AF is also considered
