Abstract :
An efficient diversity reception technique for Terrestrial Digital Multimedia Broadcasting (T-DMB) systems is proposed. For supporting legacy T-DMB receivers by assuming a single receive antenna, the combined signal of multiple receive antennas is supplied to the tuner input of DMB devices. We propose a diversity combining method on the basis of cyclic delay diversity (CDD) at the receiver side, and by increasing the frequency diversity gain, the proposed scheme can achieve significant performance gain with simple implementation complexity when compared with the other diversity combining schemes.
