Abstract :
This paper describes a new magnetron circuit for high peak and average power microwave generation. A strapped bar/vane structure is proposed (similar to an amplitron circuit.) The circuit bars are locked to a TM011 cavity using strapping plates. Power is coupled out through a cylindrical TM01 waveguide mode. The circuit is most conveniently realized in an inverted geometry
