    The U.S. National Computer Security Center (NCSC) recently announced a change in its historical policy of not accepting encryption of any kind as a protection mechanism for TCSEC evaluated products. This editorial presents an view of this change from a vendor´s perspective and raises some of the issues associated with the new policy
