Abstract
A description is given of a three-phase voltage inverter fed asynchronous machine, using a behavioural modelling and mixed-mode simulation techniques with SABER software. An IGBT macromodel is shown, it includes all the physical effects that are important for describing IGBTs. This model is validated for general external circuit conditions. Simulation results are compared with experimental ones. Asynchronous machines are modeled in detail with SABER MAST mixed-signal behavioural modelling language. The method to incorporate the machine-converter in the SABER simulator is given
