Abstract :
This paper presents a systematic investigation of the convergence properties of the method of moments (MoM) in the modeling of capacitive frequency selective surfaces (FSS). Different convergence criteria, based on the physical and mathematical aspects of the problem, are introduced and compared. The use of both entire-domain and sub-domain basis functions is considered and the proper choice of the number of basis functions and of Floquet modes appearing in the integral equation is discussed.
