Abstract :
Data will be presented that demonstrates the effect of using uniform vs. non uniform magnetic material. Non-uniform magnetic material will be produced by "knocking" the individual magnets down from a range 18-20% higher than nominal gauss. Normal processing requires a "knockdown" range 0-5%. Individual magnets will be tested for circumferential variation. Tube performance will be measured for both uniform and non-uniform magnet PPM stacks
